About Me:

Education & Training

As the granddaughter of Jeri Matson & the late Pastor Harlyn Matson, Brittany brings over eight years of hands-on experience in social work and community advocacy, with a deep focus on empowering children and families facing poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, and mental health challenges.

Her academic foundation includes an Associate’s Degree in Social Sciences and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, supported by specialized trainings in trauma-informed care, cultural responsiveness, child abuse prevention, domestic violence intervention, and human trafficking awareness.

Brittany’s commitment to Hearts Without Borders is rooted in our mission: To open doors to brighter futures by maximizing the potential of children and families through access to quality healthcare, education, community support, and faith-based engagement. I am passionate about fostering environments where every family feels safe, valued, and spiritually embraced through the love of Jesus Christ.

Brittany, together with the HWB team, will strive to extend our impact beyond the Ngozi Province—building resilient communities, nurturing hope, and advancing overall wellbeing for generations to come.
